List of Top United States Mobile Websites. Source: Opera State of the Internet Report 07/2010.

Opera the makers of the Opera Internet Browser and the Opera Mobile Browser create a interesting monthly report called the “State of the Mobile Web“.   The metrics that form the basis of the report are gleaned from the analytics gathered from their mobile web browser users.  This report contains lots of lists that curious internet users and mobile/internet marketers might find interesting.  One of the metrics is the “top mobile websites” broken down by country.  The 07/2010 report contains a list of the United States Top Mobile Sites based upon unique users.  The numbers in parenthesis are last months rankings.

Every month (actually it runs about a month or two behind the current calendar date) Opera produces an analysis of the key trends affecting the mobile Web worldwide.  They publish these findings online and in a PDF form called the State of the Mobile Web.  The document provides a interesting perspective into worldwide look at mobile internet use.

One of the most interesting points is comparing the “top 10″ most popular sites from different countries.  Each time I review the report, I uncover some previously unknown web resources by taking a look at other countries most popular sites.
